Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today was the opening weekend for duck hunting here in So Ill. My buddy Larson and I headed out to a slough of the river with high hopes. It was about 37 degrees and we had a NW wind. Some good ole boys camping out at the slough got the spot we intended to so we just set up a few hundred yards away from were we wanted to be. VERY VERY SLOW! We saw some high flyers and a few teal. We had a couple woodies come in and not make it out, so all was for not. Always good to get out and it can only get better from here.

Greetings from Central Illinois. Hunted Satuday and my buddy Jerimy and I killed 2 woodducks and 2 mallard drakes. Should have killed a couple more but you know the story. Today it was crazy windy. I killed a teal, we had a group of woodies cum in and I was not prepared Jerimy killed one and I sailed one. When chasing after the cripple I found a nice size hole and decided to take a swim. The water was very refreshing! We killed another teal and a couple mallards for a pretty good hunt. Well, a good time was had by all.
