I have just returned from my Central Illinois duck fix, that was to get me through till Thurs when our season down here opens up. I must say that I have truly enjoyed the Central Illinois experience. There were plenty of birds around, but they know the routine by now. Most everyone that I have met in that area have been very helpful and friendly. Thank you very much Jerimy and Jamie!! Your hospitality was second to none. Cathy and I look forward to you and the kids coming down to chase the ducks around these parts. Here are some pics that I hope everyone who views them enjoys.

We just got home from the Canton area. We had a lovely time with our wonderful friends and they were so very gracious hosts. I duck hunted a strip cut 3 mornings and a walk-in draw,Rice Lake State Fish and Wildlife area. It was a damn good time. I didn't kill alot of ducks but really enjoyed the new scenery and saw a fair amount of birds, especially at the draw. I was able to harvest two pintails which are only the second and third of that species I have ever killed. The four day total was 2 pintails, a woodie, a green-wing teal, a mallard, and two ringnecks, all of which were drakes. They sure ate well Fri night. It was a great ending to a very good visit with good friends. The only thing missing was some Lowenbrau, but the wine was delicious. Thanks again ED and Anne!! PS I hope you enjoy the pics. They are some of the ducks I harvested the the first couple days.
